Misty Locknane, BS, LCDC, CCS, CART
I believe in a well-rounded approach to therapy including emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. Together, we can take the steps towards those goals that seem so risky. It has always been my passion to help others and I believe that my purpose in life is to help you find yours. I intend to do this through helping you to change your present beliefs and problem-solving skills that aren't working for you anymore. I will also get a history of your physical health and begin to help you address any issues that may be creating emotional or mental issues such as neurotransmitter imbalances that may be creating anxiety or depression. I also believe that it is very important for each of us to have a sense of purpose in life and if you haven't found yours, we will work toward that as well. At the present time, I am credentialed for substance abuse/addiction counseling and all of the issues that come with it. I am a certified clinical supervisor through TCBAP and the state of Texas. I am certified as a practitioner in neuro-endocrine rebalancing and I am also a certified anger resolution therapist. I have eight years experience in the field as well as a lifetime of experience in the "real world." My future career goals include furthering my education in either neuropsychology or addictions, depending on the programs.
Are issues of morality and character at the bottom of your relationship conflicts?
As a fully licensed professional and a firm believer in Christ, I am committed to being a resource for those who strive (and at times--struggle) to incorporate biblical values and principles into their lives. Whether you struggle with sin and forgiveness in your own life or find yourself "unequally yoked" and feeling trapped in a relationship with no way out--I would welcome the opportunity to assist you in developing and implementing a plan for growth and stability. It is my focus to help you: 1) re-evaluate, 2) establish positive, productive relationships, and 3) maintain those connections by helping you look at your distractions as well as your perceptions. I have a little over 6 years experience with direct counseling services in a clinical and educational setting. In addition, I am also a certified Texas Educator (6-12 teacher, lifetime; Principal – expires in 6/30/2019) and has been in the Texas public school systems, a Texas charter school system, and a Texas Community College for a total of over 22 years. Combined with other varied life experiences, I am more than ready to help you tackle some tough issues and situations. Giving people truth about their lives in order for them to see renewed hope for a better life is my main focus. Using my humor and no-nonsense approach-- I am at your service and ready to partner with you to re-establish a desired routine, maintain that routine, and make the needed improvements along the way..
Hailey Selby, BS, CI, Office Manager
My name is Hailey and I moved back to Texas to further my career in counseling. Since being here, I have graduated from the University of Phoenix with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree. I have also received my LCDC internship and will be fully licensed in March of 2018 if all goes as planned. I am a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist and I work with clients from adolescent through adult ages. My goal is to help you heal and become who you dream yourself to be through CBT. I want to help empower you to change the areas in your life that no longer fit. In the time that I have worked here, my knowledge has greatly expanded and every day, I become more and more passionate about the career path that I have chosen! I find that if I can make one client's day just a little brighter, I feel such a sense of accomplishment! This is not just a job to me, this is my purpose in life and I would not have it any other way!
I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
